Ramon Hernandez Vecino, Head of Real World Evidence Data & Analytics Engagement Lead R&D, Sanofi

Ramon is an MD (1985), with a Masters in Environmental Health Care (1987), a PhD in Preventive Medicine (1993) and an MSc in Health Services Management (1994). He has 22 years of pharmaceutical industry and related experience, in roles that span Medical Affairs, Outcomes Research, Market Access and Real Word Evidence/Value Demonstration, and has worked at various organizational levels for Sandoz, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, MSD and Merck Serono. During this time he was able, To develop  global medical evidence plans for different therapeutics areas focused on real world evidence (RWE),  multi-countries, pan regional  registries/observational studies (average 10 counties in EU per study )  and  a centre of excellence in Epidemiology for Europe at AZ Europe.

In his current position at Sanofi as Head of Real World Evidence Data & Analytics R&D, Ramon is the single point of interface with R&D to identify data and analytics requirements and to help to turn the output of analytics models into business actions. He ensures the use of RWE advance analytics capabilities and best practice sharing of innovative techniques and projects. He also works with the R&D leadership to identify innovative projects that will benefit from RWE capabilities, and to develop a prioritized RWE strategy aligned to business and R&D needs.
